This Show is part of John-Luke-A-Palooza
Quick, hide! The Fringe favourite returns with a brand-new hour of extraordinary absurdist character comedy nonsense.
Just terrific. Blam blam!
Here’s the blurb!
One of the Edinburgh Fringe’s most celebrated talents of recent times sets out on his first full national tour. John-Luke Roberts’ show this year was a complete sell-out run and one of the most talked-about shows of the festival: a dizzying avant-garde ride through the mind of a gifted comic-philosopher. One with a blue moustache. Who thinks far more about the Spice Girls than anyone should. A masterclass in prop, clown, costume and Mel C-themed comedy. And that’s all we can tell you on the website, because his stupid title takes up the rest of the allotted space.
John-Luke-A-Palooza! includes all ten of John-Luke Roberts’ Edinburgh Fringe shows from 2010 to 2022, recorded over two Sundays in 2024.
It is accompanied by a free podcast called
John-Luke-A-Palodcast!,
discussing each show.
This project, where J-LR performed all of his previous shows on consecutive days, began at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe and was filmed shortly after by Go Faster Stripe.
You can watch all the shows individually—or via a John-Luke-A-Palooza series pass—on the
Go Faster Stripe website.
John-Luke-A-Palodcast 7 - All I Wanna do is [FX GUNSHOTS] with a [FX GUN RELOADING] and a [FX CASH REGISTER] and Perform Some Comedy! This week our special guest host is Lorna Rose Treen. Will she uncover the details of the show? And the details of JLR's psyche? If only there was some way of finding out.
